About GTS

In simple terms, Global Transport Systems Ltd. (GTS) is a company that organizes the transportation of cargo and its accompaniment. That is, we sign a contract with the client (shipper or consignee) to provide services related to the transportation of cargo.


Why GTS and why Armenia?

Despite the fact that Armenia has no access to the seas and there is a stereotype that such companies cannot be specialists in sea logistics, our practice disproves these prejudices and turns disadvantages into advantages. Being landlocked Armenia is in an advantageous geographical position, connecting the transport routes of Europe and Asia, and in this perspective we have a large number of land transport partners and partnerships with sea ports all over the world. Lack of attachment to a particular port or sea region allows us to be more flexible and independent in selection of the optimal sea carrier, port and route. Thus the client gets the most competitive conditions in terms of routes and costs. The Republic of Armenia has set a goal to become a major logistics hub in the region in the near future by implementing new infrastructure projects and providing the most comfortable environment for logistic companies, which allows us to attract the world leading transportation operators and specialists in the region as partners. Broad connections with railway operators in the area allow us to connect international sea routes with the railroads of Eurasia, thus making it possible to deliver goods from anywhere in the world. 1. The Forwarding

Business Area

Business Area of Global Transport Systems LLC (GTS). covers most areas of activity of the Freight Forwarding Company (FFC). Fuel and Energy Complex is a company that organizes the transportation of goods from the consignor to the consignee. The Company is an intermediary between the Buyer and the Shipper, providing services for the search of the Contractor and Transport, satisfying the criteria for the carriage of goods.

We organize both container transportation of standard, groupage and dangerous goods, as well as delivery of general bulk and oversized lots. Thanks to our vast experience, we will be able to carry out transportation of any complexity and find the optimal solution to any logistic task.

What's in the details. The Forwarder:

- Organizes the transportation of cargo by transport and follows the route that is agreed with the client;
- Concludes on behalf of the client or on its own behalf agreements for the carriage of goods;
- Ensures the dispatch and receipt of the cargo;
- Obtains documents required for export or import;
- Handles customs and other formalities, duties, charges and other expenses;
- Checks the quantity and condition of the cargo and ensures its loading and unloading;
- Provides storage of the cargo, and its receipt at the point of destination.
As well as other duties related to transportation.

2. The Geography

We maintain the most important transport corridors and export-import directions

Far Africa

We also deliver from the most remote regions including Africa. Sierra Leone, for example. Is that far enough?

Cold Scandinavia

We work with low temperatures. Serving the Scandinavian region and all of Northern Europe (not involving the Vikings!).

Europe

A strong and reliable direction. Europe is one of the largest economic centers in the world and of course has a colossal cargo turnover, in which the GTS takes its part.

USA

We work with major New World ports such as Charlotte, Baltimore, Richland, Morgantown, Henderson, etc.

South Asia

In India, the port of Nhava Sheva is the 24th largest container port in the world in terms of cargo turnover. Our business relationship with Nhava Sheva has been built up over years, and we feel confident about shipping through this port.

Far East

The Far East is the most important transport hub with a huge cargo turnover from the Eastern countries and the countries of South Asia, through Russia to Central Asia and Europe. We cooperate with the largest ports of the Far East region, such as the port of Vladivostok, Vostochny and Nakhodka.

Near Black and Caspian Seas

Armenia is like a meeting point connecting many directions of the Asian region to Europe, including through the Black and Caspian seas.

East, West, North and South

Our main directions include deliveries from the African continent, Europe and Scandinavia through the ports of Estonia and Northwest Russia, then by rail to Central Asian countries, such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the entire Caucasus region; or else from Southeast Asia by sea to the Far Eastern ports of the Russian Federation, then by rail to Central Asia and the Caucasus region. 

Routes by sea from South Africa to Iran, and then by rail to the countries of the Caucasus region and Central Asia are under development. 

Due to the globalization of international trade, the development of e-commerce, the problems of logistics, timely and reliable delivery and management of trade flows has become more important in the Republic of Armenia. In view of this, Armenia takes an active part in establishing trade relations with the countries of the East and Central Asian region.

30 years of

diplomatic

relations with EU

The year 2022 is very significant for Armenian diplomacy, because this year the Republic of Armenia celebrates the anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations with dozens of international partners, including the EU. Today Armenia and the EU have defined a rather broad sphere of cooperation, and thanks to the new framework document, the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in 2017, the parties have opportunities for cooperation in all spheres.

Foreign trade

growth by 47% for

7 months of 2022

The volume of foreign and mutual trade turnover of Republic of Armenia in January-July 2022 increased by 47.7% compared to the same period of 2021 and amounted to $6,357.685M, according to the website of the National Statistics Service of the Republic. Foreign trade turnover with CIS countries for seven months of the current year amounted to $2,277.058M, having increased by 54.5% compared to the same period of last year.

The"North-South"

Project

Armenia is implementing a new transit route from Iran to Georgia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about the North-South project at the Eastern Economic Forum.
"If you look at the map, it is obvious that Armenia is at the crossroads of paths and directions. We think that there are indeed opportunities that we should try to use. Now in Armenia we are implementing the North-South project, which is the construction of a new highway that will connect our southern border with Iran and our northern borders with Georgia" — Pashinyan noted.
